Yardstick Parks User Group MeetingInterested in learning more about the international benchmarking program Yardstick Parks? Chris Rutherford from Yardstick will be in Ontario conducting User Group meetings in May 2017. The Yardstick User Group meetings are designed as an opportunity for members of the Yardstick Parks project to get together to review the results of the project for 2017 and to discuss the implications of these results.

If you are not currently participating in this program but would like to learn more about the project and how it could prove beneficial to your community, we welcome you to join us at the User Group meeting on May 26th. Click here for more information and to register to attend (there is no cost to attend, we just need to know you are coming so we can ensure we have sufficient space and food :).

OPA Foundation Scholarship/Bursary Award Program

Calling all Ontario college and university students who are in the process of completing their first year of studies in public parks work, horticulture, landscaping, conservation, or environmental resource management. The OPA Foundation Scholarship/Bursary Award Committee has five awards worth $2,500 each that they are hoping to present to five qualified and deserving students! Check to see if you are eligible for an award and find out how to apply by clicking here. The deadline for submitting an application is Friday, May 26th.
