Scott Bowron is a Facility manager with the City of London, now specializing in aquatic operations, with over 34 years of operational experience. Scott is passionate about the work he does and strives to keep learning. He also enjoys teaching, and has a wide instructional background. Besides the work he is doing with the OPA, Scott is an active instructor with the National Swimming Pool Foundation as a Certified Pool Operator Instructor.
Scott was privileged to work on the technical committee and be part of the Model Aquatic Health Code (MAHC) sponsored by the Centre of Disease Control. This groundbreaking project gives aquatic professionals a template for best practices and science. Scott has continued his membership in the Council for the Model Aquatic Health code (CMAHC).
Scott’s education over the past few years has included a certificate in project management, certification in management, and a P. Mgr designation from the Canadian Institute of Management. Scott enjoys being active, having trained in Martial arts since 1976, and he continues to run a small club. He has been fortunate to have coached both daughters through competitive soccer, and continues with his younger daughter’s team, and he also works at playing the game.
An advanced Toastmaster, Scott also enjoys public speaking, and has spoken at conferences on the MAHC, and moderated at the World Aquatic Health Conference.
