Tom Clancy

I was Director of Parks for 25 years and General Manager of Parks and Recreation in  Kitchener  for 6 years. My education includes a Diploma in Horticulture from the Niagara Parks Commission, (NPD-1961) and a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) degree from   Cornell  University in 1968. I also acquired a Certified Municipal Manager  [CMM lll] designation in 1997. I retired from municipal ranks in 1999 and pursued my interests in training and gardening.

I believe in life long learning and my company Three C Consulting embodies Coping with Constant Change, which is with us now and will be for a long time. I also promote volunteering which is the price and duty we pay for living on the Planet Earth for our short time.

I played and coached T ball, baseball and fastball for over 40 years and also chaired the ISC World Fastball Tournaments in 2002 and 2006 so I know sports turf from both sides of the fence. Those tournaments were composed of 65 and 67 teams and the tournament lasted for 9 days in August. I was recently inducted into the Waterloo Region Hall of Fame for my contributions to sport in Kitchener. I continue to play hockey and have for the past 66 years.
